Compulsive truth telling is a lost art in this country (truth as one believes it that is).

While rummaging thru my box of junk newspaper clippings I got hold of the following article in the Manila Bulletin newspaper undated... I need to dump all these in the garbage else my room will end up like a bote diyaryo bakal junk shop HAR!
This is old & paso na but still worth thinking about... It may have been a counter-propaganda by Misuari's group or a genuine matter-of-fact reporting. We do not know...
For every good or bad clipping I can provide an alternative bad or good clipping... WHICH IS THE TRUTH???
Can you blame me why I DO NOT tRUST BOTH GONZALES & MISUARI & even this BENANING (We had an old woman maid from Zambales named "Aling ANING" whom we hired for a few months & later fled after borrowing some amount of money...!!!

Chairman Nur Misuari of the Moro National liberation Front (MNLF) has accused
a top Palace aide for plotting the division of the MNLF and for instigating the
breakaway within the front, an action which he regretted was aimed to isolate him
and dislodge him from an organization that he had led for a long time.
However, Misuari said the door is still open for memvers of the so-called 15-man
"Executive COuncil" to rejoimn the MNLF mainstream leadership, suggesting that it
was Presidential Adviser on Special Concerns, Norberto GOnzales, who had sown
disunity and fivisiveness among the MNLF leaders and the Bangsamoro people.
Misuari charged Gonzales of being principally responsible for encouraging some
memvers of the MNLF Central COmmittee to divide the leadership of the front and
oust him as chairman of its Central committee.
He condemned Gonzales' action and likened him to a "worm that penetrates the rank
and file of the MNLF to destroy them using his money."
The MNLF leader delivered his scathing attack before his uniformed troops during the
Extraordinary Session of the Bangsamoro Peoples's National congress in Cotabato City.
Misuari also isssued a very strong directive to the MNLF not to allow Gonzales to
step in Bangasamoro territory, "adding this man is also instigating President Gloria
Macapagal Arroyo not to give autonomy to the MNLF because it is already a spent force."
"This man is evil-minded. He is from Bataan. What rigth sdoes he have to interfere
in our internal affairs in Mindanao? IOf this man will come do not allow this man
to step in our sacred land. Tell him to go back to Bataan, he has no place in Mindanao.
Kilalanin niyo ang mukha niya," said the irate Misuari.
Misuari, who is also the governor of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM),
related that at one time he met Gonzales in Makkah, Saudi Arabia to perform haj or
pilgrimage, GOnzales then claimed that he had converted to Islam.
While blasting away at Gonzales, who is a leader of the Pilipino Democratic Socialist Party (PDSP)
Misuari nevertheless offered a hand of peace to the members of the MNLF breakaway group
that reduced him to chairman emeritus, a largely symbolic and toothless position.
The MNLF has this policy of reconcilition with elements who may have been misled, or who had
fallen to the blandishcments of Gonzales. "With due apology to the good elemtnts in that
group (Executive COuncil). I pray to almighty Allah that they will be given wisdom, so that
one day they will return back to our fold. They are welcome anytime."
He urged the MNLF leaders and supporters to talk to this group.
Misuari appealed to these people to encourage the group that split to return and "kowtow
to the money and influence of Norberto Gonzales." He said Gonzales was responsible for
the appointment of some of the members of this group to high government positions.
Misuari exhorted his supporters not to plant the seeds of hatred with those "who deviated
from our path' and asked all of them to see the problem as a challenge to the unity and
solidarity of the MNLF leadership and the Bangsamoro people.

Just finished watching "Dark City" in CH23, sci-fi type
Science Fiction I believe is the best mind-stretching genre
of available literary creation. As an undergrad I learned more from reading
short story sci-fi than from eye-tiring verbose thick novels.
It really stretches your imagination & exercises one's capacity
for mental projection/extension...

extremely difficult person to deal with, I believe he would have been open
to someone like me from this archipelago... He also used to wear

Fischer I believe was a brutally honest person... My kind of person...
Once he was offered to promote a product, it is said he rejected the advertisement
despite the fee simply because he really did not use the product!

Presently munching on "ampaw" [sticky puffed rice] very cheap yet delicious 'junk' food
It's "addictive". Do they put something in food to make it addictive so that the first taste
is followed by the compulsion to keep consuming it?
"Sultan Usman" of Quiapo told me last new year's eve he believed for every gallon or drum of toyo/soy sauce anti-Muslim manufacturers mix in one kilo of ground pork & that's why it is so delicious!!! HAR HAR!] Am reminded of my late father who told me a story about one ampaw vendor in their place in Tondo whom he recognized as a robber/thief masquerading - ampaw ampaw yun pala magnanakaw! This is an excellent "fart food" better than kamote!
News items about Batangas... Zambales... Hmmm... why the choice of places... There are lots of 'reportable/newsworthy" events/incidents everyday any/everywhere.... but whichever get chosen for the MEDIA? My late aunt used to relate to me how good/nice her father was - that he never/seldom showed negative emotions like anger or irritation (Definitely UNLIKE any of us descendants... "Saints or Heroes" do not necessarily sire saints/heroes.) More about saints & Heroes later...
I believe he was bed-ridden before dying (Pneumonia can still kill... I've been stricken by it several times When I was in Saudi I also fell ill but was lucky the cure/medicine (was available... I just asked my good friends to buy it for me & I recovered quickly... Her father told her to just act as father/big brother over her two younger sisters (My mother is the youngest). It must have been a very sad "DRAMATIC" event - to be told by your dying father to take his place and take good care of the rest of your family! Thus she was "FORCED by circumstances" to seek a well-paying job in MANILA... [But still a less noble motivation she told me once was that she also wanted to "eat delicious food" Kumain ng masarap... that's why she sought the good fortune in the metropolis]
She ended up with the PMC or Procter & Gamble... [Her uncle was also a dealer of SINGER sewing machines... I'm relating this to show that these originally American companies must have known us since the 1930's I'm quite sure they already had dossiers of their employees...]
My aunt was tasked to promote P&G's products in different provinces. She covered Pampanga
When WW2 broke out she was covering Quezon province & was about to proceed to Bicol & Visayas...
I'm not sure when this event happened but my estimate is that it was sometime 1936-1939...
She was in Calauag Quezon & staying in a house as boarder or transient... One bright moonlit night it was around 9:00 in the evening... She just arrived with a heavy sack of P&G products.
Her house was a walking distance from the train station... So she paid a young boy or binatilyo
to carry her merchandise. When she was at the gate of the house the dog was barking angrily
at the boy. So she paid the boy & told him to just leave the sack which she pulled by herself to the house that was located a few meters from the gate... Unknown to her, her landlady was in the veranda (BATANGAN TAGALOG: "SULAMBI") watching her arrival & approach... When she got close her landlady asked her: SINO YUNG KASAMA MONG LALAKI?... NI HINDI MAN LANG KINAHULAN NG ASO?... She replied it was a kargador boy whom she just paid at the gate. But her landlady insisted, "Hindi... Yung naka BALANGGOT (A native hat)... giving a complete physical description of the "man who accompanied her some distance"... She immediately realized: ANG TATAY KO HO! (That was my father!) But her father had long been dead! The landlady could not have known him since my aunt never related anything to her about him!...
[I'm allowing now the possibility that she could have been 'Set Up' but this is TOO REMOTE a possibility given the other ghost stories she told me... I'm "theorizing" now: Can it be that the spirit or subtle essence of a dead person remain on the earth's surface for some time??? But do clothing matter have also spirit?
But according to ISLAAM spirits of dead people do not roam around - that we go straight to the BARZAKH...
But this is in ISLAAM. What about those from other religions who believe in roaming spirits?

SANHEDRIN
Suffering from cold/fever... bird flu?
Just made a VERY PERSONAL comment on luwaran.com after my temper/blood pressure was unnecessarily raised by a Channel 2 news item showing my last or family name... The SANHEDRIN does not want to leave me alone... Checked on the wikipedia they removed the item claiming the Lopez family has a male member married to a JEWESS!!! This TV station I have noticed is guilty of so many crimes: Promoting white skins: MESTIZOS/MESTIZAS... Culturally demeaning noontime TV shows... Even PEDOPHILES favorites!!! HAR! But I warn the reader: Do not choose between Ch2 or Ch 7 THEY ARE BOTH ZIONIST CONTROLLED!!! Is it CHAMBA that their evening news are only seconds apart or sometinmese simultaneous. According to conspiracy theories that is how one grabs the attention of the stupid masses: Present two alternatives BOTH of which you control!!! Wonder why CH11 "broke away" from GMA 7?...
What is the significance of the FETUSES being dumped all over - including MALACANANG! One time it was the Quiapo Church! I believe this has something to do with the JEWS... They use children & blood for their devil magic ceremonies! In fact I believe I including my mother & other family members??? we had been the VICTIMS of JEWISH MAGIC! My mother has a big belly... New ghoststory

During the Japanese Occupation? or shortly before the 1940's war started,
my (eldest, now deceased) maternal aunt - the good friend of Americans, was
working with the PMC [= Procter & Gamble, now owned by the British Unilever
=(PRC) if I'm not mistaken] as promo girl. There was already STAR margarine,
CAMAY soap, etc then.
She was staying in Manila at a certain place which address was mentioned
some weeks back by my other aunt. I remember my 1st aunt related to me: in that
house they had a shortwave radio and well-known personalities visited it - including
a certain "General Lim" - The General after whom Camp Vicente Lim in Laguna was named???.
It must have been a secret meeting place for anti-Japanese resistance or guerillas
whatever. But I know my aunt never worked as a guerilla. She had a lady friend there
whose name I've forgotten.
Back in their home in Batangas, one night my LOLA (her mother) dreamt of her husband
(who died about 1935?) whispering to her ear (in Batangan Tagalog: NAPAARAP NA BINULUNGAN DAW SIYA): "KAUNIN MO NA SI SALUD" Repeatedly. (KAUNIN = SUNDOIN or FETCH). So what my LOLA did was to relate this to her brother who made arrangements to hire a car and he fetched my aunt from that place. The story goes that even as they were already near Cuenca Batangas, they almost fell into a ravine because the bridge had been destroyed (by plane bombs?) - Possibly this is the same bridge that is currently under repair/construction berfore one reaches Cuenca... (If this is the case then this event must have been at the start of the war and not "liberation" time. Not long afterwards, that house in Manila
was raided by the Japanese (Kempeitai?) and everyone staying there was arrested including
her lady friend. This lady friend my aunt also saw in a dream wearing a white dress with
her hair flowing... After the war ended she went back to the place. She met the lady's
mother who tearfully related to her what had happened - her friend was brought to Fort Santiago where she was tortured to death (breasts slashed...), suspected as an anti-Japanese fighter.
So what is the difference of these dreams from those related even in the Bible that
happened to prophets, holy men... I simply cannot take these for granted for these
are signs that there is more to this world than MATTER...

TIKBALANG?

My past story about the unknown animal that crossed the road - My aunt told me it appeared or her impression was that it had a dog's body with a horse's head! Though it was midnight the road was lighted if I'm not mistaken...
During Japanese occupation time, they "hid" in what is now my property in "MANUKAN" their house built at the bottom of an "AGBANG". They relate to me that they were toyed with or played upon by "TIKBALANG" - their cupboard gave out sounds of broken dishes, sounds of wood/trees being cut at night. The worst was their bamboo slat floor was played with - the sound of a stick sweeping thru the slatted floor. They relate to me that they were toyed with or played upon by "TIKBALANG" - their cupboard gave out sounds of broken dishes, sounds of wood/trees being cut at night. The worst was their bamboo slat floor was played with - the sound of a stick sweeping thru the slatted floor. THE RIGHTFUL HEIR (I.E. THE TRUE SUCCESSOR-LEADER) of the

fellow TAGALOG MACARIO SAKAY.
I remember when I was still a teenager sporting long hair (not
to keep in fashion but out of sheer laziness to get a haircut!)
my grandmother & "grandaunt" would comment: "Kawangki mo na si Sakay."
They related to me that when they were still young they would flee whenever
they heard the sounds of horses' hoofs - the group of Sakay...
They also related that the Americans (including blacks/negroes???)
rode on big horses. But now I wonder if the "bandits" they saw were really Sakay & his men because according to the literature the Americans & its native force the Constabulary created fake "Sakays" to discredit the real one.
Just like today, there are real ASGs, MNLFs, MILFs, NPAs etc and there are fake ones...
When faced by a certain group, one should ask: which one are you, the real ASG/NPA?
or the gov't. ASG/NPA? U.S. ASG/NPA? RUSSIAN ASG/NPA? BRITISH ASG/NPA?
Some other third-force-controlled entity??? I don't mind any group or any ideology for
as long as it is/they are GENUINE...

Most images of Andres Bonifacio are not so accurate... They have retouched
this photo & the result shows him as looking much older...
What is my "K" in presenting this photograph of THE SUPREMO?
One might think it is all just wishful thinking on my part or simple megaloman/parano ia...
But I have some link to the man not by blood but indirectly!....
I'll relate the details later... But I need another photograph of Bonifacio's sister
Espiridiona(?) together with a foreigner who I really believe is my link to A.B.!
Something like this:
A.B. brother of E.B. who was photographed together with... & who most likely must have known Mr.... etc... who in turn is the brother of my late father!
Bonifacio's mother was a Spanish mestiza from Zambales...
A.B. was not really "PURE" Malay... See the picture of his
brother who looks more Hispanic...
Bonifacio was a genius/wizard at ORGANIZING...
Of course, the SUPREMO was a "VICTIM" of HISTORY...

Unusual...
Just learned from my brother that my cousin Hermie
went last week to the province Quezon (Lopez or Hondagua
I'm not sure) for an indefinite stay... He should come
back soon for he lives alone in his house... He was the
acting "katiwala" to look over our property (my late aunt's)
& received the rental/payments... My mother told me I should
also go to Olongapo to collect/manage our property but
I told her we should just sell it even at a losing price...
I really believe there is some "mystery" as in ALINGASNGAS
as to why we can't seem to get any benefit/cash from our
properties though we are "landed" - not that BIG though...
I mean I don't really need to get employed if only I can convert my property
to CASH! Are those money lords (e.g. land bankers) manipulating
us??? If they don't stop their actions I will be forced to
declare our property in Zambales as part & parcel of the ancestral
domain of or simply BANGSAMORO territory HAR!
MOTHER in BOARDING HOUSE
My mother once related to me when she was still a high school student
in Batangas City. One night she was awakened by the howling of dogs
She saw a "ghostly" figure sitted beside a very sick little boy
sleeping on the floor...
When she related this to her mother (my Lola) my grandmother told her
because the little boy was sick, his dead mother "visited"
or checked on him... But I was told according to ISLAAM the spirits of the
dead don't roam around... These are actually JINNs taking the form of
the dead people or something... I haven't met MUSLIMS who are
truly knowledgeable about Occult/Mystical matters
2nd AUNT saw hands in the room of our house in BATANGAS
In the late 1960's or maybe before 1972 vacation time I remember my
aunt was in the room relating a ghost story to two persons I have forgotten who they were
It's the room where I usually sleep whenever I go home to Alitagtag...
We call it Kuwartong Ilaya (Northern most) & it was the master's bedroom.
In the 1950's most likely 1952+ she was sleeping inside alone on the
SOLIHIYA bed within a KULAMBO. She was awakened deep in the night
& saw two hands in the glass windowpane then the hands moved towards
her & hovered above outside the mosquito net... She immediately got up
& joined the others sleeping in the living room...
She together with a male companion also saw an unknown animal creature
that crossed the road a few meters away from them near our house in ALITAGTAG
She said it could not have been a dog, horse, carabao or any common animal
It was around 1:00 AM & they had just returned from their voting poll duties in the town plaza/school...
Could the American CIA, Vatican, or other foreign agencies be playing tricks on the
natives? & trying to study their reactions??? I'm allowing for such possibilities but because of my own personal experiences I'm more inclined to believe there are indeed "unknown mysteries" in life

15th POST REF-LOLA

My father's words lingered in my mind...
Maybe that was how BAD FAITH worked...
I already understood what his words meant but my mind, my ego whatever would/could not accept the TRUTH... That evening my father & I & my best friend who lived with us
took a bus to Batangas... I was "dazed"...
The events that followed deserves a book but these are not what I want to discuss here. Those would fall under the topic BAD FAITH... This one is about ESP.
I found out or the news of my LOLA/Grandmother's death came at about 5:30-6:00PM November 26, 1976.
That very SAME DAY these were the events of/in my life:
[I was tempted to "take a risk" & challenge the readers to check for themselves the actual day corresponding to that date but I have to admit I was afraid of committing a mistake & be accused of fabricating/inventing a story - So I checked just a moment ago in some Internet
PERPETUAL CALENDARS websites what day November 26, 1976 fell.
I am/was not mistaken - that was a FRIDAY.
My fourth year high school graduating class was going on an excursion trip to the beach if I'm not mistaken & our teachers allowed us to go home early (Half-Day) to give us time to prepare for the trip. But I was not fond of going to parties or trips & I did not intend to go along.
[For this reason some of my classmates considered me a "KillJoy". I really had zero "social life". I had one or two close friends classmates/schoolmates with whom I played basketball on weekends or whom I visited in their homes. But the parties I almost always avoided. My aunt commented that I did not know how to socialize... She always told me that in Life it is not WHAT you know that really matters but WHO you know... & socializing was the means to get linked to people...
But I disliked acting or modifying my behaviour just to get along or please others... That was simply not me... If there is anything I did not really learn in school or in life it is this "SOCIALIZING"... "Do as you please"... "Act naturally"... I really HATED "scripted behaviour" & would have made a VERY BAD actor... [This is one of my initial assessment of MUSLIM's (or MOROs) behaviour that initially attracted me to them - that they were NOT PRETENTIOUS... Of course, all this "first impressions" have changed now after having met so many people.] But I'm really "sensitive" to PRETENSIONS. For me, an "artista" gives the negative connotation of 'pretender" rather an "artist" who practices ART. I can appreciate artistic drama/plays... I guess Hollywood kitsch or whatever should get the blame... I have a friend who assured me that European CULTURE [as in art, art criticism] is REAL/GENUINE & not artificial PUT-ON... that a CONNOISSEUR is not a CON man! HAR!
Camus's character Mersault's attitude in The Outsider/Stranger closely approximated my attitude... or that's why this novel "felt familiar".
I was secretly pleased at the announcement of early dismissal. That gave me all the time - I had the rest of the day to spend in our high school library with its EXCELLENT collection of books - literature, science, math, crafts etc. etc. After eating my lunch, I went to the library to spend the rest of the day. The pleasure trip was never in my mind...
I only looked forward to spending more time (about 5 hours) in the lib!. (Oftentimes lunch break was too short & in the afternoon end of class there were too many students...) I was then really FREE all by myself in the LIBRARY!
I am no longer sure if the lib closed at 4:00 or 5:00 but I believe that was 5:00PM
I normally went home by commuting. I walked all the way to Katipunan Avenue where I took a "DM" (white) or "JD" (red) bus [CUBAO-U.P. BALARA Fare then was 15 centavos or so!] & it entered UP campus through a road between UP BA & Vinzons Hall...
[It was quite a long tiring walk through the rolling terrain of Loyola Heights from the ATENEO high school to the gate & the bus stop... I passed by the Bellarmine hall, the Rizal lib. etc. But I had a technique to amuse me while walking to fight the feeling of drudgery... I usually imagined I was an anti-communist fighter pilot [the COLD WAR!] aboard a Huey helicopter & the grass I trod/walked on was the thick jungles of Vietcong-infested Vietnam... the Mekong River [images I saw in the National Geographic magazine to which my aunt had a lifetime subscription membership courtesy of her American friends.] I expected sniper fire anytime from the green thicket... I had to be quick/alert & throttled my 'copter's engines... Before long I'd be through the gate & at the waiting shed...
[Actually I can check & confirm the time by seeking through almanacs or records but anyway I'm relating the facts or TRUTH...]
It must have been past 5:00PM...
I was walking along the sidewalk/pavement near the Rizal lib approaching the gate when FOR A BRIEF MOMENT (less than 5 seconds, maybe at most 3 seconds - it was just a "split-second") I noticed on my right the lights of MARYKNOLL (that was the name then of MIRIAM COLLEGE)
(These) STRUCK ME (Imitating CAMUS's words!) - the lights were VERY GLOOMY [I repeat, that was the "FEELING" the scene/sight of the lights gave me - GLOOM, VERY GLOOMY...
I told myself or spoke to myself exactly in Tagalog "PARANG MAY PATAY"...
I am not sure if I really saw "it" there & then or I remember this only from memory or reconstructed it only from my memory [The latter would weaken the case because scientists know memory can deceive - there is false memory...)
I saw a hazy "image" of four lights surrounding a bier... In Tagalog - PANGITAIN ng BUROL ng PATAY... Then as quickly as it came it "disappeared" - the whole PANGITAIN. It turned out that the lights were the lightbulbs of a "carnival" or fair of some sort in Maryknoll/Miriam.
[Investigators can check if indeed there was a carnival or some kind of fair that date in Maryknoll...]
Again I "told myself" in Tagalog "Ay, ilaw lang pala ng perya..." I continued walking until I reached the bus stop & if I'm not mistaken rode a JD bus to Philcoa... When I reached home i don't remember the events except for that memory trace of my approaching or being beside the REF & my father speaking...
This experience I consider to be a case of ESP/PREMONITION/whatever...
Of course life is so full of mysteries & coincidences... e.g. Jung Synchronicity etc...
But I ask the READER to judge for him/herself...

I already understood what his words meant but my mind, my ego whatever would/could not accept the TRUTH... That evening my father & I & my best friend who lived with us
took a bus to Batangas... I was "dazed"...
The events that followed deserves a book but these are not what I want to discuss here. Those would fall under the topic BAD FAITH... This one is about ESP.
I found out or the news of my LOLA/Grandmother's death came at about 5:30-6:00PM November 26, 1976.
That very SAME DAY these were the events of/in my life:
[I was tempted to "take a risk" & challenge the readers to check for themselves the actual day corresponding to that date but I have to admit I was afraid of committing a mistake & be accused of fabricating/inventing a story - So I checked just a moment ago in some Internet
PERPETUAL CALENDARS websites what day November 26, 1976 fell.
I am/was not mistaken - that was a FRIDAY.
My fourth year high school graduating class was going on an excursion trip to the beach if I'm not mistaken & our teachers allowed us to go home early (Half-Day) to give us time to prepare for the trip. But I was not fond of going to parties or trips & I did not intend to go along.
[For this reason some of my classmates considered me a "KillJoy". I really had zero "social life". I had one or two close friends classmates/schoolmates with whom I played basketball on weekends or whom I visited in their homes. But the parties I almost always avoided. My aunt commented that I did not know how to socialize... She always told me that in Life it is not WHAT you know that really matters but WHO you know... & socializing was the means to get linked to people...
But I disliked acting or modifying my behaviour just to get along or please others... That was simply not me... If there is anything I did not really learn in school or in life it is this "SOCIALIZING"... "Do as you please"... "Act naturally"... I really HATED "scripted behaviour" & would have made a VERY BAD actor... [This is one of my initial assessment of MUSLIM's (or MOROs) behaviour that initially attracted me to them - that they were NOT PRETENTIOUS... Of course, all this "first impressions" have changed now after having met so many people.] But I'm really "sensitive" to PRETENSIONS. For me, an "artista" gives the negative connotation of 'pretender" rather an "artist" who practices ART. I can appreciate artistic drama/plays... I guess Hollywood kitsch or whatever should get the blame... I have a friend who assured me that European CULTURE [as in art, art criticism] is REAL/GENUINE & not artificial PUT-ON... that a CONNOISSEUR is not a CON man! HAR!
Camus's character Mersault's attitude in The Outsider/Stranger closely approximated my attitude... or that's why this novel "felt familiar".
I was secretly pleased at the announcement of early dismissal. That gave me all the time - I had the rest of the day to spend in our high school library with its EXCELLENT collection of books - literature, science, math, crafts etc. etc. After eating my lunch, I went to the library to spend the rest of the day. The pleasure trip was never in my mind...
I only looked forward to spending more time (about 5 hours) in the lib!. (Oftentimes lunch break was too short & in the afternoon end of class there were too many students...) I was then really FREE all by myself in the LIBRARY!
I am no longer sure if the lib closed at 4:00 or 5:00 but I believe that was 5:00PM
I normally went home by commuting. I walked all the way to Katipunan Avenue where I took a "DM" (white) or "JD" (red) bus [CUBAO-U.P. BALARA Fare then was 15 centavos or so!] & it entered UP campus through a road between UP BA & Vinzons Hall...
[It was quite a long tiring walk through the rolling terrain of Loyola Heights from the ATENEO high school to the gate & the bus stop... I passed by the Bellarmine hall, the Rizal lib. etc. But I had a technique to amuse me while walking to fight the feeling of drudgery... I usually imagined I was an anti-communist fighter pilot [the COLD WAR!] aboard a Huey helicopter & the grass I trod/walked on was the thick jungles of Vietcong-infested Vietnam... the Mekong River [images I saw in the National Geographic magazine to which my aunt had a lifetime subscription membership courtesy of her American friends.] I expected sniper fire anytime from the green thicket... I had to be quick/alert & throttled my 'copter's engines... Before long I'd be through the gate & at the waiting shed...
[Actually I can check & confirm the time by seeking through almanacs or records but anyway I'm relating the facts or TRUTH...]
It must have been past 5:00PM...
I was walking along the sidewalk/pavement near the Rizal lib approaching the gate when FOR A BRIEF MOMENT (less than 5 seconds, maybe at most 3 seconds - it was just a "split-second") I noticed on my right the lights of MARYKNOLL (that was the name then of MIRIAM COLLEGE)
(These) STRUCK ME (Imitating CAMUS's words!) - the lights were VERY GLOOMY [I repeat, that was the "FEELING" the scene/sight of the lights gave me - GLOOM, VERY GLOOMY...
I told myself or spoke to myself exactly in Tagalog "PARANG MAY PATAY"...
I am not sure if I really saw "it" there & then or I remember this only from memory or reconstructed it only from my memory [The latter would weaken the case because scientists know memory can deceive - there is false memory...)
I saw a hazy "image" of four lights surrounding a bier... In Tagalog - PANGITAIN ng BUROL ng PATAY... Then as quickly as it came it "disappeared" - the whole PANGITAIN. It turned out that the lights were the lightbulbs of a "carnival" or fair of some sort in Maryknoll/Miriam.
[Investigators can check if indeed there was a carnival or some kind of fair that date in Maryknoll...]
Again I "told myself" in Tagalog "Ay, ilaw lang pala ng perya..." I continued walking until I reached the bus stop & if I'm not mistaken rode a JD bus to Philcoa... When I reached home i don't remember the events except for that memory trace of my approaching or being beside the REF & my father speaking...
This experience I consider to be a case of ESP/PREMONITION/whatever...
Of course life is so full of mysteries & coincidences... e.g. Jung Synchronicity etc...
But I ask the READER to judge for him/herself...

The feeling imparted to me by the words is precisely the feeling/experience I had in connection with the part/section of our old G.E. ref - the white rubber stop above the upper freezer door hinge as seen from an angle to the left of the ref... This is THE CLEAR MEMORY TRACE I still have of that early evening (about 5:30 PM) November 26, 1976 when my (late) father uttered the words.. "Uuwi tayo. Patay na ang lola mo."
I replied nonchalantly, "Ah. patay na ho?
I was thinking he was referring to his (my paternal grand_) mother (to whom I was not emotionally attached).
He clarified... "Uuwi tayong Batangas. Patay na ang Lola Isyang mo"...
The whole experience actually requires more words...
In fact, I think I can write a whole book about it, my first emotional encounter with DEATH...
I need only to point out that my grandmother's death really HIT me hard...
I didn't believe/couldn't accept she was already dead. During her wake I kept on thinking she would wake up. She had a reputation for "coming back from the dead" - more than once. She was asthmatic...
[After one such incident she asked for water because she felt so thirsty... She related she had travelled to a distant place!
Note occult/mysticism experts: This is not an uncommon story related by those who have "died" & returned...
During the few days of her wake,
I exhibited what existentialist Sartre termed BAD FAITH (a philosophic notion) ...
I only realized the TRUTH (of her death) or the REALITY of her DEATH forced itself on me when they were already closing the coffin & when the funeral car began to move out of the church - that was when the all the emotions poured out & I CRIED uncontrollably... I was deeply attached to her... My aunt always referred to me as "APO NI NGANGA"

-My mother's "seeing" the dead mother of a sick boy in her boarding house in Batangas City
-My late Aunt Sally's (that's how Americans called her) being "guarded" by her dead father in 1936-1939 in Calauag, Quezon
-How she was saved from a Japanese raid of the house in Manila where she stayed (that led to the capture of her friend who was tortured to death in Fort Santiago & whom she saw in a DREAM) through a DREAM of her mother (my LOLA)
-My other aunt's seeing HANDS in a room in our ancestral house in Alitagtag, Batangas.
I don't remember my brother & sister telling any convincing personal ghost stories. I believe I'm more "sensitive" than them... I have two additional "ghost" stories to relate... The reader will see why I cannot be an atheist though I am close to existentialism...
I guess today's generation are so MATERIALISTIC they can no longer appreciate the reality of the "spirit" realm or cannot perceive/relate with it.
Maybe in the past human beings were really spiritual... & as time passed they became GROSSER...

It has something to do with the numerical value of
the irrational number PI (= 3.1415...), the constant ratio of the circumference
to the diameter of the circle. There is a description in the Bible about the construction
of some structure that is circular or rounded & if one will really
follow the recipe given one would be led to a value
of PI = 3 or another FIXED terminating value
Bible scholars or experts can supply the
details... THIS IS A CLEARLY UNSCIENTIFIC ITEM FROM
THE BIBLE... SO how can something "Holy" provide
an erroneous (scientific-wise) information.
Is error from God or from the Devil???
Am not so fond of "Bible debates" or even religious
debates (the forte of DEEDAT) because I know these are all
useless or exercises in futility
Of course in philosophy the name of the game is disagreement

THE TOUCH
vacation time 1990 or so+ In a room in my aunt's Olongapo Zambales property
Although we had our own room on the 2nd floor, I preferred
to sleep in my cousin Hermie's room which he shared with Cosme (or "Randy")
The room was constantly dark & I sleep soundly in a very dark room
[Like my mother, I am a very "shallow" sleeper. That is I am easily awakened by the slightest
sound & most especially by bright light... I envy those who snore...]
My aunt had a souvenir shop for US SERVICEMEN that was open until 2:00 AM.
But I slept at 9:00 & woke up at midnight to play chess, GG or pusoy or talk with
my cousin & other people at the store until closing time.
One night I was sleeping...
I felt a touch if I remember correctly [but I'm no longer sure] in my thigh or my torso.
My immediate reaction was to swipe at this foreign body on top of me.
It was repeated a second time & again I swiped at the imagined "mouse" that had "climbed up" to me...
I immediately got up & opened the light expecting to find a mouse of cockroach (but cockraoch have sharp/pointed legss)
running about...
But no mouse or cockroach around... The room was
about 2+m by 4+m [AM not good at estimating]... very clean & "sealed" with screened windows
& rubber liners on the door. Mice & cockroaches simply cannot get in or out of the room...
THE TOUCH felt EXACTLY like a finger thrust in one's body. Put your pointing finger on your thigh
like when you're feeling if the thigh is solid or plastic... THAT's how THE TOUCH felt...
To prevent the "mouse" from pestering me, I set a teheras or aluminum folding bed &
placed it on top of the original wooden bed & improvised a double deck bed... I continued my sleep...
The other wooden bed in the room was HERMIE's & it even had a mosquito net (KULAMbo) though the
room had screened windows. The strange thing is that there is a chain pull switch that led
to the bed. It was designed so that the occupant of the bed could instantly open the light...
Later I narrated the "mouse" story (=THE TOUCH) to my cousin & there & then the TRUTH about
the weird frightening experience which even "Randy" (or "Cosme") may have experienced too!
[It's only NOW that I realize maybe that was the reason why this third person seldom
slept in that room & slept somewhere else. He might have also experienced THE TOUCH...
but did not talk about it... My cousin explained to me the EXACT reason why he installed
the chain pull switch was precisely to "catch" whatever "it" was - that thing that
touched him while he slept... When he felt it or was awakened by it he had

vacation time 1990 or so+ In a room in my aunt's Olongapo Zambales property
Although we had our own room on the 2nd floor, I preferred
to sleep in my cousin Hermie's room which he shared with Cosme (or "Randy")
The room was constantly dark & I sleep soundly in a very dark room
[Like my mother, I am a very "shallow" sleeper. That is I am easily awakened by the slightest
sound & most especially by bright light... I envy those who snore...]
My aunt had a souvenir shop for US SERVICEMEN that was open until 2:00 AM.
But I slept at 9:00 & woke up at midnight to play chess, GG or pusoy or talk with
my cousin & other people at the store until closing time.
One night I was sleeping...
I felt a touch if I remember correctly [but I'm no longer sure] in my thigh or my torso.
My immediate reaction was to swipe at this foreign body on top of me.
It was repeated a second time & again I swiped at the imagined "mouse" that had "climbed up" to me...
I immediately got up & opened the light expecting to find a mouse of cockroach (but cockraoch have sharp/pointed legss)
running about...
But no mouse or cockroach around... The room was
about 2+m by 4+m [AM not good at estimating]... very clean & "sealed" with screened windows
& rubber liners on the door. Mice & cockroaches simply cannot get in or out of the room...
THE TOUCH felt EXACTLY like a finger thrust in one's body. Put your pointing finger on your thigh
like when you're feeling if the thigh is solid or plastic... THAT's how THE TOUCH felt...
To prevent the "mouse" from pestering me, I set a teheras or aluminum folding bed &
placed it on top of the original wooden bed & improvised a double deck bed... I continued my sleep...
The other wooden bed in the room was HERMIE's & it even had a mosquito net (KULAMbo) though the
room had screened windows. The strange thing is that there is a chain pull switch that led
to the bed. It was designed so that the occupant of the bed could instantly open the light...
Later I narrated the "mouse" story (=THE TOUCH) to my cousin & there & then the TRUTH about
the weird frightening experience which even "Randy" (or "Cosme") may have experienced too!
[It's only NOW that I realize maybe that was the reason why this third person seldom
slept in that room & slept somewhere else. He might have also experienced THE TOUCH...
but did not talk about it... My cousin explained to me the EXACT reason why he installed
the chain pull switch was precisely to "catch" whatever "it" was - that thing that
touched him while he slept... When he felt it or was awakened by it he had
to switch on the light but had to stand up to reach the wall switch...

while sleeping inside a room I noticed crawling on the floor
a scorpion about one inch long. I thought that was odd for the
room was quite "sealed" from the inside... It was very clean/well kept
only there was a drainage pipe's "clog access" protruding in one corner...
inside the room it's like being inside a cave or underground chamber
'coz it was constantly dark.
But I kept the low ceiling incandescent lamp with chain switch on & I was
sleeping on a teheras or folding bed atop another wooden bed!
These two facts: that the bed was a makeshift "double deck
bed" & the light had an extra chain control switch have a single/solo
reason [which I shall detail later in another story]
will give one an idea why (i consider) the SCORPION was a JINN!
This weird/frightening story about THE TOUCH shows that
EITHER witchcraft is/JINNs are real OR human beings have found
a scientific way to extend the senses as in "mental projecion"
or "out-of-body travel"...

My! TIME really FLIES!
A major or minor sign according to MUSLIMS is the rapid flow of TIME...
IMITATING [as in "TAQLID"] the style of Western existential
writers like Camus, Sartre with their single-word titles...
THE COCKROACH
About a week ago I found a cockroach that was shedding its coat.
It looked white as milk & only "1 step" away from freeing itself
from its old covering.
[I didnt know cockroaches also undergo "MOLTING".]
It wasnt moving & I thought it was dead. I immediately put it
in a clear plastic bag with the intent of donating or even selling (! : ))
it to interested biologists/zoologists or students for use as exhibit item.
I let in some air in the bag.
After about five (5) days it was still stationary but it was alive.
The third day I was surprised to find out it had re-entered its coat!
I thought, "Gininaw siguro kaya bumalik." It looked naked in its pure
white state of molting & returned to its dark reddish brown usual appearance.
Two days ago I discovered it had escaped by chewing off the plastic.
I wonder where it is now. I entertain the idea that it might have been a "non-ordinary" cockroach. In ISLAAMIC tradition/lore they say JINNs can appear as animals.
But I DOUBT if one would ever appear as a cockroach!
I am more inclined to believe THE SCORPION I saw years back inside a room
in ZAMBALES was a JINN! And my cousin HERMIE's THE SNAKE in his bathroom...
More about these strange incidents/experiences later...
We have so many cockroaches here in the house that we kill at least two a day.
No, we are not unsanitary in habits but the house is really full of gaps/openings
that mice & cockroaches, spiders & crickets can go in & out"at will".

One should realize how GRAVE it is to KILL a HUMAN BEING whether in RETALIATION,
as a JUDGE-EXECUTIONER or in MERCY-KILLING or ABORTION.
"EUTHANASIA" is a relatively recent issue in PHILOSOPHY & I wonder
if ISLAAMIC JURISPRUDENCE has tackled it & related issues...
Potentially verbose & contentious topix for discussion in this or another BLOG...
A few hours ago, we (including my aunt 8 mother) were almost arguing over why the
refrigerator was unplugged... Only my elder brother who is presently out of the house
& a distant male relative who did not sleep here for the night could have unplugged it. But these two persons have no REASON at all for doing this. Now WHO DUNNIT???... I told my aunt only the five of us could have done it. Of course I wil not accept that some other BEING did it.
I normally try to EXHAUST ALL MATERIALISTIC/SCIENTIFIC ARGUMENTS/POSSIBILITIES/EXPLANATIONS before adopting other MODES of EXPLANATION or alternative PERSPECTIVES.
NOTE: I DEFINITELY am NOT a NAIVE thinker because I have done DEPTH THINKING
FOR MYSELF & even reading into PHILOSOPHY OF MATHEMATICS, PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE...

that was bought in 1973 when we moved to MANILA from OLONGAPO, ZAMBALES for our secondary studies.
DIGRESSION
I was born in Olongapo (where my late aunt owned a business/property given to her
by Americans & where my late father worked as a civilian employee of the U.S. Naval Base
at Subic) & lived there up to Grade 6. I have lived in Manila since 1973 but have also

My! TIME really FLIES!
A major or minor sign according to MUSLIMS is the rapid flow of TIME...
IMITATING [as in "TAQLID"] the style of Western existential
writers like Camus, Sartre with their single-word titles...
THE COCKROACH
About a week ago I found a cockroach that was shedding its coat.
It looked white as milk & only "1 step" away from freeing itself
from its old covering.
[I didnt know cockroaches also undergo "MOLTING".]
It wasnt moving & I thought it was dead. I immediately put it
in a clear plastic bag with the intent of donating or even selling (! : ))
it to interested biologists/zoologists or students for use as exhibit item.
I let in some air in the bag.
After about five (5) days it was still stationary but it was alive.
The third day I was surprised to find out it had re-entered its coat!
I thought, "Gininaw siguro kaya bumalik." It looked naked in its pure
white state of molting & returned to its dark reddish brown usual appearance.
Two days ago I discovered it had escaped by chewing off the plastic.
I wonder where it is now. I entertain the idea that it might have been a "non-ordinary" cockroach. In ISLAAMIC tradition/lore they say JINNs can appear as animals.
But I DOUBT if one would ever appear as a cockroach!
I am more inclined to believe THE SCORPION I saw years back inside a room
in ZAMBALES was a JINN! And my cousin HERMIE's THE SNAKE in his bathroom...
More about these strange incidents/experiences later...
We have so many cockroaches here in the house that we kill at least two a day.
No, we are not unsanitary in habits but the house is really full of gaps/openings
that mice & cockroaches, spiders & crickets can go in & out"at will".

Of course, I kill mice & cockroaches while invoking the name of the CREATOR...
Am not really following the Hindu JAIN way but I BELIEVE I HAVE NO RIGHT
TO DESTROY OR KILL ANYTHING [ESPECIALLY LIVING BEINGS]

One should realize how GRAVE it is to KILL a HUMAN BEING whether in RETALIATION,
as a JUDGE-EXECUTIONER or in MERCY-KILLING or ABORTION.
"EUTHANASIA" is a relatively recent issue in PHILOSOPHY & I wonder
if ISLAAMIC JURISPRUDENCE has tackled it & related issues...
Potentially verbose & contentious topix for discussion in this or another BLOG...
A few hours ago, we (including my aunt 8 mother) were almost arguing over why the
refrigerator was unplugged... Only my elder brother who is presently out of the house
& a distant male relative who did not sleep here for the night could have unplugged it. But these two persons have no REASON at all for doing this. Now WHO DUNNIT???... I told my aunt only the five of us could have done it. Of course I wil not accept that some other BEING did it.
I normally try to EXHAUST ALL MATERIALISTIC/SCIENTIFIC ARGUMENTS/POSSIBILITIES/EXPLANATIONS before adopting other MODES of EXPLANATION or alternative PERSPECTIVES.
NOTE: I DEFINITELY am NOT a NAIVE thinker because I have done DEPTH THINKING
FOR MYSELF & even reading into PHILOSOPHY OF MATHEMATICS, PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE...
THE REFRIGERATOR

I was born in Olongapo (where my late aunt owned a business/property given to her
by Americans & where my late father worked as a civilian employee of the U.S. Naval Base

Within a mall...
Of course, "they" or "big brother" or "the conspirators"
can find anybody out in a matter of minutes or even seconds
in the Internet... You don't believe me?...
Even watched with amusement an arcade game
which I think is really addictive once one engages
in it. The more I reflect upon the "mall phenomenon"
& the game arcades within , the more I am convinced
that indeed all these SCENTS, SIGHTS & SOUNDS, & TASTES
were "PLANNED" by somebody/somegroup...
Is it a matter of pure profit motive that they created or devised
such contrivances (& rides in, say, Enchanted Kingdom)?
The hammer game & its adherents I observed exemplifies
P.T. Barnum's "A sucker is born every minute."
Am still thinking about ORGANIZING this blog of mine...
I originally imagined a plain BLACK screen with an
image in the center which when clicked expands to
reveal several icons... but my sheer INERTIA (better
term for laziness) resisted any effort at actualizing
a nice idea... I prefer words and sentences to images
& sounds which remind me of Shakespeare's "full
of sound & fury signifying NOTHING"! Just try
going thru the hundreds or thousands of blogs in
the Internet & see how empty & nonsensical people
have become..
I didn't conceive my blog to be a mere "diary" or journal.
Anyway...
I prayed a while ago but am not that certain about
the exact time & direction of "QIBLAH" but I tried
my best...
Before I mention anything further about the AGAMA
I'll try to bring out first all the "UNHOLY" thoughts
still remaining in my brain. It is not that easy to
change one's ideas or convictions... It takes time
(& luck (?) ) to shift from disbelief to belief to faith...
But I assure the reader that it can be "developed"...
At least that is my experience or in my own case...
Existentialism... Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Camus...
Maybe I'll just provide key quotes that express
best their ideas or those to which I agree or
expresses my own.

Can anybody beat this "shorty"?
I really like one-liners. Even in cartoons. That's why I liked
Dennis the Menace & other shorties...
I really believe human beings now have
shorter attention spans compared to the
thinkers in the past who had no ballpens
or strong fluorescent lamps to help them...
I suspect the culprit: the indecipherable ingredients
of packaged foods like noodles, powder juice
etc. I always say aloud at home "Nakaka-bobo"
or "Pampa-bobo" [i.e. makes one stupid or
[TANG was originally conceived as food for
astronauts. This is what I know.]
THat's why I have to limit the length of
my posts. I even believe one should limit
oneself to one (1) hour during public
speeches/lectures. Half hour for the talk
& the remaining half for exchange/
audience interaction.

ARAB! I wonder if Bush was briefed about MY life... because I read in one
website that Bush read or was holding or discussed or whatever this
work of Camus... I will discuss it later as a matter of course...

Attended EIR's Michael Billington talk
& was able to ask a question but couldn't
compose my thoughts clearly/logically
so wasn't able to exploit the full opportunity
Learned that "environmentalism" & "C02
problem" are the gimmicks of some groups...
I thought: why are some people not satisfied
with their own problems/misery/happiness
& try to INVOLVE others... I am definitely
not like them because I live my life privately/
to myself... Maybe I'm autistic without
knowing it??? They say that man is a social
animal (i.e. gregarious) but I feel Albert Camus
was fundamentally correct that one's death is
in a sense "one's own." Even Albert Einstein said
something similar: that in the final analysis one is
alone by oneself in one's existence.
You will die alone. Even if you try to
involve your most beloved one in a death pact
I doubt if you'll end up together in the same place
in the hereafter. [Imagine, a la Rome & Juliet
lovers' "suicide" pact, but one ends up in
heaven/intermediate place while the other ends
up in hell! HAR!
