PAHABOL for the day...
Saw these links about the Tagalog word "BATALAN" after tried to search via "Batalanes Morga"... (BatalanES is singular I think even in Spanish... I thought it is plural)

These are exchanges by Pinoys discussing things NATIVE... In the first link, it is correctly stated that the BATALAN is some sort of a WASHING area with a big jar TAPAYAN (=BURNAY?). There is another term BANGGERAHAN which refers to where plates, spoons, kitchen utensils are stored... Just go now to my aku-si-jamaal BLOG where I shall post images of the BATALAN...

To claim there is nothing inside the box is a presumption.
