I think this is the date when the Knights Templars's last grand master Jacques De Molay was burned at the stake near Ile de Cite(?) in France... He was the victim of injustice committed by Philip The Fair of France in cahoots with the Pope...
Am watching Alexandre Dumas's THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO, an EXCELLENT literary work that I had read in the past & which had influenced so many later-day writers and, most likely, even film makers - including our very own Dr. Jose Rizal. Rizal's NOLI ME TANGERE & EL FILIBUSTERISMO clearly bear the mark/influence of Dumas...
This modern day film is an excellent version & worth buying/acquiring...
This adventure-filled film mentions/includes CHESS, CONSPIRACY, PRIEST, PRISONERS & PIRATES...
Where does fantasy & fact separate?... I believe Dumas's work is partly "historical" (as in "truthful") like Rizal's works...
